Other than Luca Belic I can't think of a single Slovenian that's joined us.

Perhaps Cleese has become a gammon-faced xenophobe in his dotage.

John, is this the same Bristol City, that has 11 foreigners in it's first team squad?

Do you still support Bristol City?

Yes. I supported West Ham for a while but then one day I looked at the team and they were all Czechs and Slovenians. When I watched Bristol City as a kid, six of the team were from Bristol and so there was a real sense of geographical identity. Now players just pull on a shirt for three years and any passion they show for the club is totally phoney. I think that money spoils most things, once it becomes the primary motivating force.

No Cleese is not a Hammer, well not any more.

Lost interest 10 years or so ago with the amount of foreigners in the side and with us losing our identity then migrated back to his native Bristol City.

There's an online newspaper interview with him where he states this

Cough during that video clip of the opening game of the 1930 season was that you shouting in the background?

I remember as a kid one night game in the 70's when Cleese was surrounded by a fair few walking back to the station and he was convinced to do his goose stepping, with many joining in, oh how we laughed, no-one believed us at school next day mind
